Impossibility makes greed
As much as I wanted to think about the tangible, the only guarantee that I find myself able to preserve, remains the effective contact with the real. A reality that shapes both the themes for which I like to surround myself, as well as it prevents forgetting and forces to go an opposite path – again towards the real.
The specific space and original condition of the object often define its configuration and the way these are presented. Therefore, unable to grasp the whole, the several parts are gathered to think a new idea.
João Pedro Trindade (1990, Aveiro) lives and works in Oporto. Holds a degree in Fine Arts – Painting from Fine Arts Faculty of Oporto University. He was a member of the Painel ’s organizing group and is currently member of the organizing group for the Nartece project in Oporto. He participates in exhibitions and independent projects since 2012. Makes use of media such as painting, sculpture and artistic installation in the research and production of his work.João Pedro Trindade took part in a residency – We only want the intangible –, at Ex Mele Cinema Aperto, a deactivated cinema in Pizzo, Calabria, southern Italy, from October 5th to 11th, 2015.
