The piece «Nova» was initially composed for 8 channels and is the result of a workshop on electroacoustic music and spatialization, performed by the composer Jaime Reis at Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in 2011.
Taking as starting point the image of a «Novae», in its base, the composition presents modulation techniques and spectral synthesis that support this short sound trajectory, complemented by voice processing, percussion and granular synthesis.
