João Jacinto (Mafra, 1966) lives and works in Lisbon. In 1985 he started his artistic studies at E.S.B.A.L. Since 1999, he has been a professor of drawing at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Among his most recent individual exhibitions of paintings and drawings on paper: Nódoas, at the Centro Cultural Português, Luxembourg; Solfatara at Galeria 111 in Lisbon; The rain falls the other way around, at Galeria Fernando Santos, Porto; Tebaida at Galeria Sete, Coimbra; and The rain falls the other way around, at SNBA, Lisbon.
