Francisco Novais (Lisbon, 2002) is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal. From 2017 to 2020 he completed a specialized artistic course in Printmaking and Serigraphy at the Escola Artística António Arroio. In 2023 he majored in Multimedia Arts from the Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, doing Erasmus in Cinema at NABA, Milan. His works are often the result of a gathering and manipulation of archive materials, extracting hidden meanings, reconfiguring concepts or constructing imaginary landscapes that combine contrasting languages and subcultures, in an interplay between nostalgia and hypermodernity.
