«Planaltro» starts from a specific object, a bridge, where the fast and incessant rhythm of the cars concurs to the definition of the urban landscape, as well as to the experience of the contemporary city.
While sensitive to reality's details and nuances, the film seeks a different space-time, one that resists the crude and dehumanized image and highlights its corporeal and dreamlike dimension.
The haptic glance recreates the scene by subverting the rational view of space, its geometry and rigidity, summoning the body as a whole; the result is a sensory experience in which the architectural object is figured beyond its original character of form and materiality. It becomes a tangible, organic, light body dancing above the water and its murmur in a constant movement. «A continuous region of intensities, vibrating on itself».
