Pedro Valdez Cardoso (Lisbon, 1974) lives and works in Lisbon. Exhibits his work regularly since 2001. His output, largely centred in sculpture and installation, tends to deal with subjects connected to (social, sexual and cultural) identity and post-colonial issues. His most recent solo exhibitions include: n o meio do caminho tinha um osso, tinha um osso no meio do caminho , Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações/Galeria Bessa Pereira, Lisbon (2018); História da Vida Privada , Galeria 111, Lisbon (2017); Esfinge , Colégio das Artes, Coimbra (2017); ÁRTICO: Narrativa e Fantasmática , CIAJG, Guimarães (2015). His work is part of several art collections in Portugal and abroad.
