Tess Hurrell was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in South Africa. She is currently based in Brighton and makes photographs for both editorial use and artistic investigation. After graduating from the University of Brighton in 2006, she spent 5 years working with the artist Wolfgang Tillmans in London and Berlin, and has continued to exhibit her work in the UK and internationally.
