Segunda Avenida, Manhattan (a partir de um terraço no Lower East Side)Second Avenue, Manhattan (from a roof in the Lower East Side)
Straight and efficient, like a clean cut through the city, all the way to the horizon. Shaping the sky as it was a skyscraper itself, but upside down. It is like an artery, especially since most avenues there are only one way: the blood flowing in them is red or white (traffic). New York avenues really give a structure to the city, each of them being like a parallel spine.

The perspective. You look at the depth of the city and buildings just frame the view, creating two walls, like a corridor. No building should be designed to be seen from the front, alone, but the side, with other buildings as part of a group shaping a perspective.

I was impressed with its scale, density, and the fact that wild nature goes into the city.
